during the holidays or are not happy in their job. Not everyone can always be happy but it would be nice to get a little
closer to your goals or dreams.
Take some time during the holiday season to really think about your goals for next year and what you really want to do careerwise. Do some soul searching and write down the pros and cons to what you are doing now and if you have been out of work dust off that resume and reapply to every job board or business where you would want to work. Most of all do not give up the fight for there is a job out there for you and though I know many people have waited way too long to find that job it could be just around the corner.
Do not forget contract or temporary work as they can lead to permanent placement and even if it does not it will at least give you some more employment and less gaps in your resume. Also remember that many companies now use scanners to scan for keywords so it is better not to have graphics or colored paper as they may be missed. If your dream is self-employment then test your company after your regular work hours to see how it works out and if it does go for it!
At the end of last year was when my resolve kicked in that I would go into self-employment and it was after the New Year I resigned my position. It has been an exciting trip and it keeps growing and growing. So whatever your dream or needs may be now is a good time to regroup and go for it.
Have a great day!
